BAFF 2024

Our inaugural event at ColdTowne Theater marked the beginning of what would become the Black Auteur Film Festival. What started as a single day of bold, independent work quickly revealed a deeper need for space, community, and black stories that don’t ask for permission. That first gathering set the tone and was the start of something much bigger than we could’ve imagined.

Filmmaker, writer, and all-around renaissance man (mayne) Tarik Davis joined us for our very first BAFF, bringing his singular voice and energy to an already unforgettable night. His presence helped set the tone for what BAFF is all about": bold artists building something together from the ground up.
